The Big Island is, in my biased opinion the nicest of the islands, it is so diverse that there is always something new to see.  The North Kohala region in particular is very beautiful.  It is also very rural, and there are not very many places to stay in the immediate area.  Luckily though, it is also very close to some very large resort areas.  The closest airport to fly in to is the Keahole-Kona airport, the airport code is KOA.  The airport is approximately an hour from Kohala.

1. Kohala Village Inn- http://www.kohalavillageinn.com/ - In Hawi, very close to wedding, about 15 minutes from ceremony, and 3 minutes from reception.

2. Kohala Club Hotel- http://kohalaclubhotel.com/ - Just a little farther than the Village Inn, the Club Hotel is located in Kapa'au, about 20 minutes from the ceremony and 7 minutes from the reception.
